Senior Engineer

Project : LTA NSCC2 N106- Design and Construction of North-South Corridor (Tunnel) between Novena Rise and Toa Payoh Rise, Singapore. (Contract Sum: SGD 809 Million)

Scope of work:

• A member of the LTA Project team involved in the overall project management works for 2.25 km cut and cover tunnel.
• Studying of drawings and identifying technical details like clashes between drain-sewer, drain-permanent structures for potential design changes.
• Monitoring of ST submissions and and other design related changes due to existing utilities (utility gaps, pendulum swing method of D-Wall construction etc).
• Monitoring and tracking of the BCA ST submissions for various sections with the contractor’s design team.
• Monitoring and tracking the utility diversion works like SINGTEL, STARHUB, M1, SPgas etc. to facilitate timely commencement of permanent works.
• Tracking and monitoring of soil improvement works like Jet grout piles (JGP), Deep Soil Mixing (DSM), TAM grouting and Fissure grouting.
• Site supervision of circular shaft construction for pipe jacking of 2.2 m Dia water pipe works. Site inspection on T&C for the raw water pipe with PUB.
• Tracking of regular progress of site activities and highlighting safety and environmental related issues to contractors.
• Studying of traffic diversion plans, traffic phases and checking if the diversion has been implemented as per approved plan on site.
• Reviewing LTA design DAR submissions and providing technical opinions.
