Grade: Distinction From the course I developed a more comprehensive understanding in Structural Analysis through Finite Element Methods and Structural Reliability module. In addition, broaden my knowledge in Structural engineering application by completing Engineering Mechanics of Composites, Structural Collapse Dynamics, and Seismic Resistant Design module. The topic of my dissertation research was on the effect of rain drop impact towards the fatigue life of woven composite material used in a wind turbine blade. I implemented Finite Element Modelling, Dynamic Stress Analysis, and Fatigue Damage Calculation. The research concluded the significance of rain drop impact in the fatigue life of FRP and the importance of maintaining the coating in a turbine blade.

– New White Cart Water Crossing: Bridge design lead for 90 meter span bowstring arch bridge over White Cart Water, Paisley. Led the detailed design phase of the superstructure.– Eden Viaduct: Site supervision of intrusive testing and interpretation of the existing condition of post tensioned concrete bridge over River Eden, Carlisle.
– M42 J3-7a Fatigue Assessment: Assessment Team Lead , created an assessment workflow for 46 gantries with the implementation of automation tool to accommodate limited resource availability.
– Transpeninne Route Upgrade: Structural assessment of existing steel rail bridge.
– M3 J9-14 Smart Motorway Project: Led the production of all deliverables from engineering design stage to 3d model delivery of motorway gantries.

Gistama Intisemesta is a structural engineering consultant in Jakarta which puts their focus mainly on high-rise buildings with seismic resistant design. I was trusted to produce a comparison report between two type of seismic analysis, Equivalent Lateral Force and Modal Response Spectrum. From the task I gained an in-depth knowledge in applying seismic analysis to building structures.
In the process, I was taught to use different structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000 to model the structural system (Moment frames, facades, and foundation) of a pre-existing 8 story structure.
