QS Manager, Project Excutive C&S

Role 1: On-Site QS Controller
Project: Gemalink Port – Onshore package (location: Cai Mep, Vung Tau province)
o Lead of payment and claims team comply to IPC/FIDIC contract.
o To calculate monthly workdone quantity, collect records/reports as payment condition requires.
o To define variation works. Make estimation of Variation Orders (VOs).
o To explain quantity, proposal price of estimation to RE/Owner.
o To control and supply required documents to RE: SD (shop-drawings), NFI (Notice for
Inspection), ITP (Inspection Test Plan), RFA (Request for Approval), RFI (Request for
Information), RFV (Request for Variation), SI (Site Instruction), MAR (Material Aproval),…
o To coordinate weekly site meeting between Owner, RE, Contractor, Sub-contractor.
o To conduct site engineer to make shop-drawings, take off quantity for material proposal.
o Control contract & payment claims from subcontractors.

Role 2: Project Executive C&S (location: Head Office – No. 6 Le Thanh Ton. Dist. 1, HCMC)
Project: Ware house, Resort, Residential house…
o Structural design of all kinds of building related to investment activities.
o Review design of Building from Consulting comply to QCVN, TCVN,…
o Surveying of material and labor cost, make estimation and budget for investment.
o Surveying of actual site for method of design / construction / estimation.

Structural & QS Team Leader (Design&Build)

Job description: responsible for total duties structural works, included structural design, quantity surveying, and shop drawing controlling:
 Structural design duties:
-Coordinate meeting with Architect/Clients for understanding concept design of Factory, discuss structure option/method and materials.
-Responsible for calculation details of most basic structural elements as: slab, beam, column, wall, staircase, water tank…etc., and then carry out detailing drawings.
-Analysis and design follow finite element method by using ETABS and SAFE with assistance of EXCEL tool. All of analysis and design based on codes and standards.
-Make structural report and submit for construction license.
-Issue, update and control shop drawing for site engineer\’s works.
-Directly do (or assign to under staff) modelling structure, calculation check, making drawing & structure report, shop drawing,…
-Project included R.C structures and Steel structures, RC slab/decking slab.

 QS & Tendering duties:
– Responsible for taking off quantity from sketch, concept design, tender drawings…
– Collect, formulate & save the Unit Cost Database from market
– Formulate & save the Unit Cost Database follow government norms.
– Update Unit Cost Database usually.
– Liaise with Suppliers, Sub-contractors to collect the cost proposal. Make cost comparison sheet between various sub-contractors.
– Work closely with design team, calculate BOQ, Cost Estimation of projects.
– Calculate & check structure, re-design structure to optimize structure & quantity.
– Ensure that the final design is the best economic option & easy for construction.
– Control works quality and time schedule within group.

o Responsible for implement shop drawing of Rebar details, form works for construction
o To supervise team workers, sub-con, suppliers of structure works: concrete casting, rebar & formwork installing.
o Take off quantity actually.
o Other assignment duties from Site Manager.
Project: The Eastern Residential Complex, District 9 (22 floors 1 basement)

Structural Design Engineer

o Responsible for calculation details of most basic structural elements as: slab, beam, column, wall, staircase, water tank…etc., and then carry out detailing drawings.
o Analysis and design follow finite element method by using ETABS and SAFE with assistance of EXCEL tool. All of analysis and design based on codes and standards.
o Applied design standards and codes, as TCVN/QCVN system, ACI 318, BS8110, Euro-code 2, AISC.
o Responsible for author’s supervision on site (but not usual).
o As a junior structural engineer, accomplish assigned duties by senior engineer.
